When the leaves slowly change colours, a wonderful time in every respect arrives in the Ahrntal.
Autumn is Törggelen time. This beautiful custom from the Eisacktal is also celebrated widely in our region – for example, at our hotel/restaurant.
Before you try young wine, roasted chestnuts, and South Tyrolean bacon, you can work up a good appetite on a panoramic tour high above the Ahrntal. Maybe you feel like hiking from hut to hut or climbing one of our impressive peaks? If you go exploring along the valley bottom, you will also find several museums worth seeing that bring you closer to our holiday region and its rural traditions. And naturally, many autumn festivals await you on your visit – especially when the cattle return home from the alpine pastures to their stables during the festive cattle drive.
